**Miscellaneous

I received a wonderful email chock-full of mnemonic stuff, and don't have the time right now to incorporate it into this page. So, I'll just let you read the email for now, and slide the bits and parts into this page as time permits.
* The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Type these to test every letter of the alphabet on your typewriter. If you have a typewriter. Does anyone anymore?

* All people in Saskatchewan turned NDP.
And for the 7 layers of the OSI model (computer science): Application, Presentation, Session, Transport, Network, Data Link, Physical (From Jturnock@ism.ca, thanks!)

* Paedophiles don't normally teach science, pork arse!
This one is from ih2@ukc.ac.uk, who learned the layers of the OSI model in reverse order.

* All People Seem to Need Dominos Pizza
* Active Penguins Seek the Nearest Deep Pool
Two very clever mnemonics to remember the OSI model, from kleggott@earthlink.net. Thanks!

* You can make an 'L' with your left hand
gfarrelly@hoopp.com notes that this is the best way to remember which is your left hand, and which is your right.

If you appreciate this website, please consider giving a donation of a dollar or two to help keep it going.
